TORONTO, Oct. 18, 2014 /CNW/ - On October 18, 2015, one year from today, the new Humber River Hospital will begin making patient care history in Canada. It will be North America's first fully digital hospital and will be a model of efficiency for every hospital in the GTA.
Today, on this momentous occasion - one year to opening - Humber River Hospital Foundation officially announces their capital campaign goal of $225 million needed to finish construction of the new hospital building and purchase the much needed medical equipment required to deliver the best possible care in our city.
Leading the fundraising charge is the Foundation's volunteer Campaign Cabinet, steered by passionate co-chairs Fausto Gaudio, President and CEO of IC Savings and Jack Kay, CEO of Apotex Incorporated:
"When we became involved with the fundraising efforts for the new Humber River Hospital many years ago, opening day seemed like a distant dream. And now, with one year until we open the doors to North America's first fully digital hospital on October 18, 2015, the excitement and urgency are profound,” state Mr. Gaudio and Mr. Kay.
