Social Sales Manager

Sales and Client Interaction:

  • Meeting with potential clients and leading venue site tours.
  • Creating proposals and contracts.
  • Following up with clients on sales leads, tentative contracts, menu adjustments, etc.
  • Confirming contracts in a timely manner and upselling additional services (e.g., décor, media, gifts & baskets).

Event Coordination:

  • Preparing event invoices and achieving sales targets.
  • Collaborating with the F&B team to strategize menu ideas.
  • Working with the executive team to ensure contractual terms are followed and communicated across departments.

Customer Relations and Communication:

  • Responding to phone calls and emails promptly.
  • Sending information letters and quotes about promotions and events.
  • Ensuring client needs are met, including finding creative solutions for budget, décor, or menu adjustments.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Monitoring the venue's website and maintaining updated information.
  • Forecasting the schedule with the GM or Assistant GM.

Qualifications and Expectations:

  • Education & Experience: Requires post-secondary education in sales, marketing, business administration, or hospitality. 1-3 years of sales experience are needed.
  • Skills: Strong communication, creativity, problem-solving, and customer focus.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, and catering/floor plan software like Microsoft Visio.
  • Work Schedule: The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and potentially early openings. A two-week schedule will be planned in advance.

Job Insights:

  • This is a full-time salaried position with a 44-hour work week expectation.
  • It involves client relationship building, event coordination, and sales in a dynamic setting (weddings, birthdays, fundraisers, etc.).
  • Upselling other company brands and creative problem-solving are important aspects of this role.
